Frequently Asked Questions

I've never taken a barre class before. Is there a beginner class?

We welcome students of all ages & levels! All of our barre classes offer modifications & challenges so that you can go at your own pace. Please let our instructors know if you have any injuries.

Should I preregister for classes?

Yes, we recommend preregistering for any class you plan to take, but please be aware of our cancellation policies. If you haven't preregistered, you are welcome to come to class. We will accommodate walk-ins space permitting.

What do I need to bring with me to class?

A smile, some water, and a hand towel if you want one. We provide mats, and we have filtered water to re-fill your bottle.

What should I wear to class?

While most of our students wear leggings/workout pants (ankle or capri length) and a tank or T-shirt, we encourage you to wear what you feel comfortable moving in. Depending on the class you are taking, there may be jumping, bending, lying down or something similar. It is recommended that you wear capri length or longer pants, and a workout tank or T-shirt.

While we don't require socks for barre classes, you can wear them if you like!

We ask that you don’t wear street shoes, jeans, khakis or wool sweaters - You get the idea.

What if I'm pregnant? Can I still attend class?

Yes! However, in order to enroll or to continue in class during the term of your pregnancy, you'll need to get the prior written permission of your treating physician. Please download and print this waiver and release form and return it to the studio signed by both you and your physician.

Can my child attend class with me?

Unless otherwise specified, our classes are designed for adults.  You must be at least 12 years old and have a parent/guardian's signature to participate if under the age of 18.  Thank you for understanding our policy.

Can I freeze my monthly membership?

You can freeze your membership one time a year for up to 3 months. Anything after that you would pay a freeze fee of $25 per month beyond the initial 90 days.

Can I attend other studios if I have a membership?

To attend other Barre & Soul locations, please contact your home studio manager via email.

Cancellation Policy

  • Preregistration is not required, but it is recommended for prime-time classes.

  • Please consider your schedule; if it does not allow for you to cancel a reservation with at least 4 hours notice, we recommend arriving early for class and registering at that time, not before.

  • You may cancel your class reservation via your account (through the Barre & Soul® app, or via the website) up to 4 hours prior to the start of class. Please be courteous of our studio managers time and cancel your own reservations.

  • Cancelled class reservations in the early cancellation window (more than 4 hours prior to class start time) result in the class being returned to your account to be used at a future date. Late cancellations (less than 4 hours prior to the start of class) or no-shows will result in the forfeiture of the class and you will be charged as having attended.

  • Workshop, event, and teacher training deposits are non-refundable.

  • For monthly unlimited & honorary memberships, late cancellations or no-shows will result in a $10 fee.

  • Please be aware that spaces will be released five minutes prior to the start of class to individuals on the waitlist/walk-ins, so please be sure to arrive at least five minutes before class to maintain your spot.

  • If you are on a waitlist for a class, please make sure to double check the status of your reservation as close to class as possible. You may be added to the class due to cancellations.
